Although Guangzhou government prohibit hotels raising their price
, buyers from all over the world can find Guangzhou hotels price
double or even tripled during canton fair. Why do this happen? Does
these hotels break Guangzhou municipal's rules? I have a friend who
worked in a five-star hotels in Guangzhou, and he explain this for me.
in usual time, canton hotels can not find enough customer, so they
offer big discount to them. Take his hotel for example, a dulex double
business hotel cost 260 USD for a night. But in usual time, the price
is 50% off because they want to attract more customers to stay there.
During canton fair, they don't need to worry about customer. So they
resume their "normal price". With such excuse, Guangzhou
municipal's rule seems not work. this is the reason why many
businessmen complain the hotel price double or triple during canton
fair.
